A few times [in college] I woke up in so much pain I had to go to the ER and the doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me. Finally, I went to my doctor and they referred me to Dr. Parsa. He said it could be either be endometriosis, which he really strongly felt it was, scar tissue, or a cyst.
Since the [endometriosis] surgery, I was allowed to start working out again two weeks after. I am coaching soccer right now so I began running and the first time I ran I didn’t have any pain, which was the first time I’ve been able to run in 8 years without pain.
I’m so used to running with pain, it’s kind of unbelievable, but it’s really amazing.
I think young women everywhere shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of pain, especially when they are so active and wanting to start a family. They really need to get proper diagnosis and get that taken care of and thankfully I was able to do that.

After 10 years of suffering [from pain] and two-and-a-half years of not being able to get pregnant, I was at the end of my rope. I couldn’t handle the depression anymore, the emotional rollercoaster. It was too much, so eventually I just gave it up to Dr. Parsa.
Finally, we found out were were pregnant, and we call her the little miracle baby.
It’s a relief to know that I am finally at the point where I am just like every other girl in their 20s. I don’t have to worry about the pain anymore. Dr. Parsa did a great job. I’m really grateful he came through and diagnosed me correctly.
