Salpingectomy

Salpingectomy is the removal of one or both fallopian tubes. It is indicated in ectopic pregnancy, blockages, and some cases of endometriosis. It can be a preventative measure in patients at high risk for ovarian or breast cancer, or used as a means of sterilization.

Salpingectomy is usually performed laparoscopically, should not require hospitalization, and has a quick recovery time.
